Recently, two Year 10 Kambala students completed an insightful two-day leadership placement at Woollahra Municipal Council, hosted by Kambala Old Girl and Mayor of Woollahra, Sarah (Swan) Dixson 09.

Placement Highlights
Day 1: Shadowing Mayor Dixson through high-level council meetings, executive decision-making, and local government leadership in action.
Day 2: Deep-diving into corporate strategy by interviewing senior council leaders across Finance, Law, Digital Transformation, and HR to compile a professional executive report.

"I found the experience very rewarding, particularly the final Q&A session that we had with Mayor Dixson. Overall, the experience gave Georgie and I an amazing insight into all of the work that they do at Woollahra council."..Olivia
"It was great to have the opportunity for a site visit and the chance to interview all the senior managers. I learnt a lot about leadership."..Georgie

Seeing our alumni bridge the gap between school and the boardroom by mentoring future leaders in law, business, and public service is truly inspiring.

Many thanks again to Mayor Sarah Dixson for opening doors and sharing invaluable executive mentorship with current Kambala students! 💕
